Update of the NL project:
*Deck has been removed (rotten wooden plates)
*Hull has been cleaned.
*Stringers have been removed
(because these were totally torn, wrecked and half filled with wet and shitty foam rests).
*Tubes have been ordered.
Little redesign:
Boat is going to get an aluminium deckplate instead of GRP.
It will also get aluminium consoles (inhome design).
We're not going to replace the stringers by new ones, but the hull will be completely foam filled with an extremely strong and stiff epoxyfoam (Sicomin).
Underneath a couple of pictures:

The concept of the console design for the Atlantic is ready.
All will be made in 5083 Aluminum.
Consoles will be welded to the aluminum deckplate.

Thanks!
By the way, it should be quality built, otherwise it would not be able to take the 300hp waiting in the other room ..

We'll see what the 300HPDI does.
I'd rather put on a twin of the new Merc 150 or something comparable. We had this one standing in the corner allready, so why not use it. The Atlantic's not a boat for speed anyway..
Absolutely not a clue if a single engine is a good idea on boat with a wide pad like the Atlantic. We can always change the HPDI when not ok and buy a pair of engines in return when characteristics are not as wished.

first of all - keep up the good work, it looks very serious indeed!
I think you will be ok with a single big engine on the back provided you amended your transom to deal with it. With regards to the shape of the hull: we run similar power on a similar size boat with a 'flattened back end' without any problem (although I propped her very 'conservatively') . I am not sure if my/our hull can be compared with an atlantic hull but still, it looks like a heavy all weather type of boat so fair chance she can handle!

I run a 225hp on the back. Be carefull of the weight as you may require some type of ballast up front to compensate or she will become ver light at the front heading into swell/chop
I must note the bit handles extremely well with a single

thanks Ben! Does look pretty fine to me!
After a little delay due to being very busy, we're almost done with the hull now.
The hull should be ready by next jan. Next summer we will be able to try it in the water.
Question: Could threre be a possibility that you make a picture of the engine from the behind, while being onthe trailer with the engine trimmed down? I'm very curious of the engine height you have. Thankx in advance!
Gr. W.

Hi J.W.W
