new crank seal rings. fitted full performance powerhead rebuilt kit .
its amazing how cheap you can get all this for if you are prepared to wait a while,, obviously labour is not cheap, if you are not capable of doing it your self,
i jumped the gun if only i waited another week i would not of bought the other boat for a donor engine was being impatiant,

Nice job there and an interesting set of photos for those of us that have never rebuilt an engine. Thanks for taking the time to show us.

Yes engine now fitted to speed boat, tempted to switch them over though to be honest, as I know it's all sound 100%
poxy thing went through the wiring 3 times this afternoon no spark,,,,,,,,,,,, for the life of me I could not see nothing wrong
Hands up Mr, stupid dumb ass,,,, not being used to working on std side mounts for many years,
what a dumb assed location to hide a kill switch, kin off position it was in, oh well it help to seat every thing in before it run, started straight up sounds lovely left it at various light revs on muffs plus in a huge vat of water ?
Checked all comps as expected almost identical nothing in it really

Given the choice I'd have an Atlantic with a low hours Opti over a 0 hours carbed V6 anytime.
I've got that wiring job to come. My ignition wiring looks like a birdsnest at the moment.

pretty sure after abusing it this weekend coming, it will be sitting on the drive for some time more so if it will give me the magic reading of 40 on the GPS
failing that there is always a pair of sumat that can be shoe horned onto that transom i am sure.
