Did the Atlantic 21s have a deep V hull or a planning wedge under the transom?

Pete - there appears to be a bracket for the twin throttles mounted to the side/rear of the helm (stbd side) whereas IIRC Pac 22's had their single throttle mounted to the right of the dash? The front of the console also has a flat section as well as the curved/profiled bit. Did Pac 22's have that? I think the RNLI atlantics have their anchor line/drum thing mounted there...

The anchor reel is mounted on the curved surface. The box on top of the console has been added on at some point.

just dug out my old atlantic 21 manual from the loft ,,wood hulls were operational from 1972 with the first hull going to Hartlepool using twin 50 hp and then in 1976 they were all built from g.r.p and went up to twin 55hp,then last ones had twin 6os ,cant see any photos or diagrams that i have with that box ontop of the console even the first 75s dident have it,,could have been an experimental prototype with g.p.s in mind /coming up in the future ,some had an added gps stuck out on the stb console when it came into use .

The last ones had Evinrude 70's fitted.
The GPS on the Atlantic's is behind the helm seat, the sounders were added to the starboard side of the console in a fibreglass moulding.
It could be a prototype console, I know a few were made. The 75's console is completely different to the 21's.
I think it is an Atlantic, it'll be a good boat.

Looks very similar to my Arctic though it doesn't look to have the open transom. The consol is the same apart from the box that sits in the top.

It could equally be a prototype hull and by the looks of it their has been a few modifications.
Best look out for the new owner posting in a couple of weeks time. "I have bought this project and wondered if.............."

It'll never be a bargain but hopefully someone will get alot of "enjoyment" out of it and get a good boat that they know inside out at the end of it.
