Atlantic 75 YouTube Channel

Afternoon all, I came across this fellas channel a few week's back. Dan is his name and as far as I can work out he came up with a plan to take a Rhib around the British Isles whilst drunk in a pub lol....aren't all the best plans made there? What is more he has a firm date..August if i was paying attention and he is doing it in one go...not like our beloved Harry Dwyer. The best part is he is doing it for charity.
He found the ex RNLI Atlantic 75 on the Isle of White without engine's or a trailer but he has secured a pair of again ex RNLI twin 115hp outboards yamaha's and had them fitted by a company in Wales.
So he has got proper kit proper outboards and has a proper workshop.....I'm not jealous in the slightest.
All he needs now is more subscribers and more views...At the moment he only has 106 subscribers so give him a bit of support and like and share his channel around.
So to sum up great rig great challenge and a 21 day time frame. http://https://youtu.be/IcEWYrNWFEo
Click the link if it works or search for The DC Experience.

Looks interesting. The weak point will be the skipper not the boat. Sponsored a young lad before trying to do it on an f rib(obvs not the same beast) he lasted a couple of days. Best money he could spend would be on a suspension seat

Interesting challenge. Great to do it for charity, but I think they are underestimating the logistics involved. I thought they might be going next year, but they are planning it in July, potentially 3 months away. Even if he did full powerboat, navigation, radio and first aid courses - time on the water is built up over years, to help understand sea conditions, and throttle control.

I hear what your saying but sometimes the best way to learn is to get stuck in.

Yeah good luck to him. Wasn’t a slight at him or his skills it’s just a hell of a thing to put your body through
