Avon 320 DL bucket cable fix

Good morning everyone, I'm new to this forum and seek some help/advise on how to fix a broken reverser bucket cable.
I have an Avon Seasport 320DL and the cable which control the reverser bucket at the jet output is stuck or broken, so i guess i need to replace it. I can't get to the mechanism from the inside. somehow I need to remove the lever, but I can't figure out how.
Photo is attached.
Any ideas from your side?
I really appreciate your input.
Cheers
Thomas

From memory: remove the handle by removing that screw. I think the plastic cover then “pops” off (use a flat blades screwdriver to remove) - you can then remove whatever fasteners are holding the throttle assembly in place. The cable should be very easy to remove and replace once you’ve got access.

Good morning Tim,
thank you for taking the time to help me.
The plastic cover is a button which, when you push it allows to move the lever without engaging the bucket cable. so when I push this button and then move the lever it only moves the throttle cable, but not bucket.
When I take this cover off, i expose the mechanism of this switch. I couldn't really see how to work from there to remove the whole handle.
What do you think about that silver ring with the notch at the bottom? Do you think this could be my starting point? I don't want to try it and then break anything....
