If you're restricted on access and storage room, measure up a 4.7 on a trailer 1st. They are quite a lot bigger than the 4m.
That's a very good call - especially if you have a restricted length garage. I had an SR4 and could park it in my garage (5.7m long) with the engine up! Unbraked you should be fine, however I boutght the Seasafe (now sold as the O-Pro 2m beam) & when the old trailer died I ended up in discussions with Mersea Trailers (Colchester) who very kindly built me a "short drawbar" version of their recently aquired Snipe trailers range - meant I could fit both the braked hitch & the engine (down!) on a 5m rib into the garage & shut the door - just (I now have a length of carpet down the back wall to protect the engine form scrapes it's that tight).
Other thing to think about if you want to get it in a garage is the width of the door. You'd be amazed how many will go in lengthwise but wedge themselves nicely between the doorposts! Fortuiantaly I still have the spreadsheet I put together when looking around....
have a look here - http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28275 - similar Q last week...... That list is filtered for sub 200Kg due to tow weight issues, I can easily generate a similar list of "should fit" hulls if you tell me the size of your garage.
I'l lSecond Nos on the power thing as well - Had both 25 & 30 on the back of my SR - 25 was OK, as long as you werent in a hurry......
I don't actually have a garage so my restriction of size is based on the access i have to the side of my house (girlfriends) however during the last few weeks whilst on leave i decided to do a bit of demolition work with a Stihl petrol disc cutter and a bl**dy big sledge hammer and have now knocked down the offending wall.....girlfriend hasn't spoken to me since!
Although i could go for a longer boat my concern now is the weight of the thing as i have to reverse up a steep and narrow lane. I just about manage ok with 4m inflatable and 20 hp 4 stroke with a Ford Focus but a 5m plus rib and weighty engine might be a bit too much.
As many of you have said, a 5.4 would be a better buy.
I'm actually kind of missing my 4m Searider. The 5.4 is a great sized boat but it aint as easy to launch as the 4m was (for me single handed). Crossed my mind a few times to go back to a 4m.

This looks quite nice shame about the size of engine.
Looks very tidy. Shame about the trailer though, don't like the way the tubes sit on the rollers and I bet it only gets one or two bids at that high start off.
If you fancy it, see what the lads on here think first as they know far more than me. Wont be the fastest in the world but should still be fun with the 30hp.
Fancy it myself.
