560 open
nice looking boat, not really built for the rough stuff as we painfully found out!!! for that sort of money, you could have a 5.3 ribcraft in the same colours and similar layout with a far far more superior build quality!!

most probably looking at a 115 but maybe a 100!
it will be more for skiing/fishing than any serious wave bouncing as i am banned from that after breaking our last rib...
any more details on the humber then...

They are great boats, had great fun with it, we have moved up to a 620 which has the extra length making it more stable and comfortable in the rough stuff.
We also found that with the honda 90 we were a bit stern heavy so either a 2 stroke or bigger boat.
But which ever Avon you buy you'll sure have fun.

You could have a lovely Ribcraft 5.3 for the money but I doubt the "ASAP" bit, when I spoke to them on Friday they said they had months worth of orders and were getting rid of part of the showroom to make more fitting out space.

Hi
Yeah all great Ribs with there own benifits, but up here in the north west were do we get support on ribs that arn't main stream.
ribcraft, Humber , ribtec , leeway the list goes on, your all based down south ( yes i know Humbers up here but on wrong side of the country)

We had a 560 with a 100 yamaha F/Stroke
A great boat did a channel crossing and many hours of wake boarding,
you wont be disapointed.

I have heard (not experienced) that some 560 avons are a bit stern heavy, and that the 620 is a more balanced boat generally, i think though i havent heard many things bad about the avon as they handle pretty well as a leisure boat, and have a pretty good finish to them! i would also comsider a humber though, we had the option of going for an avon 620 but decided on a humber ocean pro 6.3m which we got for less money than the 620 kitted up.....very happy with our decision, and would make the same again!

I've done 500hrs in a 560 with a Yami 100hp 4 stroker comercially and the boat is pretty good.
Can give you a bit of a pounding in the rough stuff, but learn how in handles and it's not so bad.
Being a comercial RIB, it carries a fair amount of safety kit onboard which makes her a little heavy.
We do have a set of fins fitted to the engine which has helped fuel consumption and makes for easier on the plane at slower speeds, especially 8 up.
