Avon Picture In RIB International

Apologies about the vagueness of this query but I have lent my copy of the mag to someone.

In the latest issue of the magazine, there is a picture of an Avon RIB with, what looks like, greyish tubes. It might be the picture and that the tubes are, in reality, the standard blue 'Adventure' colour.

Can anyone shed any light.

Is that the article about the trip round IOW?

I would fairly confidently say they were a military grey with a lighter grey rubbing strake

The Boat is currently in use by my Dad, its a 4 meter Searider, Orange GRP with Military spec grey tubes with a thicker pvc nose section double rubbing strake on bow, its also running a 50hp Yamaha.

Tell the ould lad keep up the good work. It is good to see some articles in the mag which relate to ribs less than 5m in size

Im not sure, I live about an hour from Dad, and as I dont work for RIB, I dont pick up on these things as much as I used too. I also dont read PBO to much, so cant say. I know at times RIB International has shared its articles with PBO, Motor Boats Monthly, Sports Boat & RIB and some Itailian mags so it could be, but I dont know, sorry...If it has a BHG sticker on the engine, and on the rear of the sponson, orange and grey powered by a Yam then proberbly its the same boat.

Regards

Tom
