Avon S4-60

A question for the Avon sr experts on the forum
What is an avon S4-60? I've never herd that size mentioned ?
I'd assumed the boat was a avon sr4.7 from the length but the makers plate shows the above I was considering buying it as a project for my son but want something that is worth the effort once complete
Would an S4-60 be worth the time & effort of a full on restoration?

Funny you ask this as I am considering buying one that is on ebay.
Its a Sib not a Rib as far I am led to believe, it has a removable wooden floor.

Ah ok probably the same one I was looking at.
It says in the add 16 ' rib & looks like a rib so I assumed it was an sr4.7 but I asked the guy for a picture of the data plate & he just put it up tonight & it shows as a 4-60
if it's a sib then it's not for me
Funny it has the stainless transom supports like the sr's
I guess it just pushes off the floor to help support the transom

I think it may have the supports as it can take upto a 55hp and they probably bolt down to the wooden floor

I am trying to find out if this one has aluminium supports and slatted floor or solid but the owner does not seem to know a lot.

Always makes me suspicious when a seller is evasive I asked 3 times for the info off the data plate & the transom height. It took him a week to post the pic of the plate & never mentioned the transom
Looks like it's been cut down for a short shaft which wouldn't have bothered me as I have a short shaft 50 yam but it's a good bargaining point
I'll be in his area on Monday & was going to take a look but it's not what I want
I'd be offering him a lot less if you are interested

The chap has still not answered my questions
The distance is also putting me off, Its 300 miles from me so it will almost cost as much as its worth in fuel.
