Avon sea rider 5.4 outboard

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and have just bought Avon a Searider 5.4 hull which is being retubed. It's for commercial use and will be used everyday. I have a 75 merc 2 stroke which I believe is ideal but as I will be using it everyday I think a 4 stroke would be a more sensible option. Information I have found on the forum is that the transom is rated to 170 kgs max and I have been offered a Honda 90 4 stroke which is 163kgs. So my question is would this combination work and does anyone have this set up? Any information would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Depends what you're using the boat for. If it's a work tug, chugging about in the harbour, then the Honda will do (is it a carbed model or a newer DI?) It will be a lardy lump on the back & if you're loading the boat up with gear, freeboard could be an issue.

It will work but as PD said its gonna be very stern heavy. ideal weight is around the 120kgs mark as nicely balanced. the Yam F70 is 119kgs and is a superb modern replacement for that.

Thanks for the replies, it's the carbed model, and yes I think the F70 is ideal it's just the cost £7k new, I can't find any second hand ones for sale. Might have to spank the credit card (I hope my Mrs doesn't read this!)
