I reckon it's the same age as the engine-around 89/90.

Thanks I thought so too. Doesn't look like any of the tubes have been repaired either, only ones i can see are exactly same both sides and look like rubbing patches - do not know if that is right for this type of rib.

Yep, I'd say so too.
Bingomike: If you want to get rid of that boat and fancy doubling your money, let me know.

And a half decent trailer as well... To think i was bit dissapointed when I saw it filled with water and brambles/weeds.
I think if i can get consol cheap enough and some guidance on how to fit it, that will be the way to go. If that happens the seats will be up for grabs (free of course LOL)
Anyone know where to source good cheap (ish) consol seats, also think an A frame might be needed as i want to install vhf.
Will keep posting pics and progress reports.
Mike

You don't necesarily need an a-frame just for the vhf aerial, modern ones can be quite small and easily mounted on or even in the console although range may be affected.

mike, well worth putting a decent console in IMHO. If you want to find the year of the boat, have a look on the rear on the right hand side at the top of the transom. There should be a number stamped into the gelcoat or on a little plate. The last two numbers will give you the year.

More importantly, an A-frame looks cool

Thanks, will have a look for it tomorrow. Yes a decent console will be in order. Talking to a friend tonight, he was saying that driving with these seats can be a pain to see when planing and also if boat capsizes bit harder to get out..

Thats one reason, others mount VHF airiel, navigation lights (just in case it gets dark or foggy) and to hang trailer board for towing..

Don't mind spending a bit as it was free, so chances are that I could still turn profit if I decide to sell sometime in the future.. Going to hang on to it and still go for a 6m+ rib,
I get more time to get out during winter than summer so bigger rib for when its bit rougher
and also for taking dad/brothers fishing... dont think they would get into 4m! Lol

Be careful doing that-if it's above eye level for the car behind they won't notice brake lights.

I am thinking about hanging it directly above engine cowling. It still will be lower than my cars brake lights. (I have citroen c8 people carrier)

I used to do that on my one. Stick some padding on the bottom of the trailerboard or it'll mark the motor quite badly.
