avon searider 4m screen

Hi , ive just bought an early avon searider 4m to restore. it is complete except for the perspex windscreen. avon can send me a copy of drawing to have one made but im wondering if anybody might know where i could possibly source an original screen from ? i know this is a bit of an open question but any help would be welocome. been on a few ribs belonging to friends and got really into them. The avon is my first rib ive bought and im really new to the scene. cheers

I have a brand new in my garage bought from Avon Dealer BHG marine in Lymington for £50.. the idea was to trim it down to fit a smaller RIB but sold the RIB and still have the screen in its protective film.. £30 and it is yours...

Alex , thanks for your reply. I want to buy your screen please. I'm even new to forums so not sure if i can put my personal details on this reply !! I live in the west midlands so quite a distance away from you. wondering if it could be sent to me . i would cover all posatage costs if not i would collect it if its too big or you think it may get damaged etc . I am currently away on a ship so wouln't be able to do anything until mid July.. I think if got sent may get damaged. When do you need one by?

I will be on internet again next weekend so will contact you then as out the country at the moment.

Cheers Alex, im in no rush at all, just contact me whenever you can if you dont mind. I will come and collect it when you are back from sea. Got a few jobs to do before i put it on the sea in wales at our caravan site. The screen would just finish off the look of the rib but wont stop me using it. Cant wait to have a go in it ! This might be a bit late, but I also needed a replacement screen for a 4m Searider.
I called Avon and they were really helpful and sent me the original spec drawing for the screen (still in Imperial measurements). While I could have purchased a sheet of polycarbonate and had a go at cutting it myself, I found a company on the south coast (near Portsmouth) that can make one for £146 + VAT. Email sales@sunlightplastics.co.uk if you need one. If you wanted more than one, the second one would be around £95 + VAT - ideal if you have a friend that also needs one.
