Avon Seariders
Just a quick thought whilst I'm thawing out from todays trip.
Seeing as we have numerous Searider owners on this forum does anyone want to have a meet up this year with their boats and either just compare boats or go for a blast somewhere.
Because I use the Solent area I would prefer to hold the meeting in that area. Although I am prepared to travel to the Dorset area or maybe into London.
Only proviso I ask for is decent parking and being able to do it in a day.
In the Solent there are numerous slipways we could spread ourselves around for ease of launching depending on which part of the compass you are coming from.
If enough people are interested I would be quite happy to arrange a Solent meet. I can advise on slipways etc but not overnight accomodation. But I'm sure someone can on here. Personally I don't want it to come to that. Just a good day out with like minded people.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Sounds like a fun idea, Nick, although the 'just compare boats' bit does smack worryingly of a classic car club meet. Although I do not profess to harbouring anorak style tendencies, I would of course be particularly interested in comparing the girth of my elephant's trunk to that of a 5.4m Searider.

The wife is responsible for that ever since the original front compartment would go down with alarming regularity !
However since a consultation with Dr.Ed at Olmec, all is now as good as new,but as it is extremely unlucky to ever rename any boat,Droopy 2 it remains.

Phil I was just trying to drum up some interest. You never know what floats some peoples boats.
My preference would be to zoom over to the IOW land on a nice sandy beach, have a barbie and a few beers.
But I just wanted to get some ideas without influencing anybody.
