Avon SR 5.4 Jockey/console position

I am redoing the layout on my SR 5.4 deluxe. Bonnet, dash and seating have been removed. I have an original SR double jockey and console with front jumper seat. I will be glassing in some marine plywood for the base but am not sure how far forward I can do this. Can someone tell me how far forward their console is positioned? From reviewing pics, it looks like the front of the console should sit just behind the middle valves (not the bow or 2 stern valves, but the forward pair). What's the distance from the bow u-bolt?
