Avon SR4 Searider help required
I am thinking of getting 1 of these as another toy, a few questions, if I bought 1 with the side by side seats and wanted to convert it to a jockey console, how much would that cost roughly and whats the best 2 seaster console for the SR4?
Also is a jockey console better than the 2 side by side seats? or is it upto individual preferance?
If I wanted 1 with a jockey console is it better to buy a standard 1 with the avon 2 seater console? and can you get 2 adults on the avon console easily enough as I thought it looked a bit small?
Thanks

Budget £200 for a cheap console, you can either glass or bolt them down, if I did it again I'd buy one with a flange and bolt/ screw it down.
I needed a new helm unit and wheel as I couldn't remove the old one. Control cables and steering were too short for where I put my console so I needed new ones.
In theory it could cost £200 and use all your existing hardware, mine must have been around £1000 buy the time I bought everything.
Console is better for rough weather in my opinion.

If that's what mine has (which I think it is, someone will probably be able to confirm either way!) you can fit 2 people on but you have to know each other pretty well, or at least want to. :-)

I Had an Osprey console put in mine and had the deck flocoated at the same time. Its an excellent solution and really suits the searider. Admittedly it's in a 5.4 but won't make much difference.
I think there is an Ocean Console in my SR4 and that's very good too but Osprey is a lot closer to you than Ocean
The 5.4 is outside on the drive So I'll take a piccie and post it tomorrow

I'm currently fitting an Osprey jockey console to a SR4.7. It's a big old moulding - too big for a SR4, I reckon.
I may be selling the original SR4.7 console, if you're interested. It's plenty big enough for 2 adults and has storage space underneath the seat for 2x22 litre fuel tanks.

So Did I. It actually measures 5.4 from Tube tib to toe so I don't think it's a 4.7 anymore It might be an SR5. I need to put it alongside my other 5.4 to compare but there about 100 miles apart.
I'm not having much luck finding the photo's of the console that are in the forum, do you know what post they are in?

Mr
Dear Sir
I have a Avon Searider SRM4 Meter Rib With A 50 HP mariner outbaord with a trailer. It has the two side by side bucket seats at the front with a small bench behind which both have storage underneath them. It is in very good condition and has recently been completely stripped and cleaned through and a lot of work and money has been spent on it including £500 being spent on the engine.
Please let me Know if you are interested
Many Thanks
