Bareboat - Cornwall

Hello all,

Does anyone know of someone who does bareboat charters in the Cornwall area that I don't have to pay through the nose for to use freely and not just in a restricted area?

Any help would be appreciated

How far do you need to go? Charter RIBs are likely to be coded to Category 4 which allows use up to 20 miles from any safe haven in good weather and daylight, although some may be Category 5 which allows 20 miles from a single nominated departure point.

None of them are going to be cheap though, with upwards of £300 per day being the going rate.

There are two or three companies in Plymouth that will hire a rib out. Solent rib charter, Plymouth powerboat school and South West rib charter.

Only know of one at Falmouth, Cornish Cruising - Rib Charter

I contacted the guy at Fowey and he told me they no longer offer Bareboat they just haven't updated their site.

I'm not bothered for going too far but the ones I have found that are reasonable
On price are restricted to Carrick Roads which is frustrating as just outside the hire area there are some beautiful stretches of coast.

I even considered a fibreglass speedboat but the one I found hasn't replied and to be fair it doesn't offer the same flexibility as the RIB does it
