Bargain Searider
I dont normally post my finds but found this while looking for a old boat to keep on a mooring, I typed searider in the search bar and the first two are scams but then found this little beauty for less than the price of an Audi A4.....
Avon RIB for sale , Avon 4.0M Searider - Boats And Outboards

I think it's a case of "I've got it and you want it" and at that price he might have it for quite a while

If you look closely, at the back there's a kinda willy hanging out, you drop it into the water, the hull floods and voila........
Worth a meagre £12k to woo the Mrs don't you reckon.

I thought it was too , i didn't shop around i was just asking prices when i realized my tohatsu needed to become a long shaft or get replaced .
Price was actually 6500 for a tiller steer model , and was told the tiller was costing 500 extra .

I've seen a 5" leg extension spacer on a Twatsoo 50. May need a new driveshaft, gearchange rod & water tube, but the spacer would be cheaper than a new mid section.

You have seen something pretty rare then if they were available they certainly are not now .
Rob at Black Dog marine in looe tried for me
then i spent forever calling every tohatsu dealer and parts specialist on the list
then every breaker i could find
With 6 week wait on new parts from japan I had begun to despair then a dealer called me back with news of an emergency order of parts so i bought all new parts and saved the carriage cost from japan .
I could see the season slipping away with a new boat sat on its trailer in my drive with no engine .
err think we have well and truly hijacked this thread now ,sorry

This was an XL Twatsoo 50 and the shaft length was extended to 25" by way of the 5" extension piece you can just about make out in the pic.

one of those would have saved me about £350 i guess , new mid section was about £400 alone . still need the driveshaft ,watertube , and gear rod etc , but they don't seem to be made anymore . maybe because the tohatsu is only sold here now for comercial or racing use and there is no market . Think the company that made them is called bay marine but they don't list the extension , nor do tohatsu . I think i was only lucky with my early shipment because the zap cat race market was in need of engines and parts
still its done now and wouldn't part with the snarling little beasty for anything , despite the odd oiled plug
