Codprawn
Don't like the new series, was better with the Irish chap whose name I can't spell.
I bump into Hugh Dennis who plays the doctor sometimes as his kids go to school with mine. Nice bloke.

Two more today.
little bit of work needed, but only £36 for the pair including postage.
Will now customise all three for myself and the two smaller Nashers, plus get some visors.
Can't see Mrs Nasher coming out in the rain so shouldn't need another.

Aaarrgghhhh don't. They will get a good wash out.
Has anyone ever sprayed a pre-inflatable liner Gecko?
Wondering what paint to use to add some graphics, or may just get hold of some sample decal material instead to cut some out from.
Nasher.

If you're worried about paint damaging the shells or cracking (like they used to on bike helmets) you should be able to buy quite good polycarbonate paint from model shops which is nice and flexible. It's the stuff for painting clear polycarbonate Tamiya radio controlled car bodies with.
It's sprayable AFAIK and they do a nice version of Triumph 'Nuclear red' metallic IIRC (for ladies only of course!)

I'm getting somewhere.
The two white helmets for the boys cleaned up well on the inside with a shampoo solution, and all the old decal glue etc came off the outside with Acetone followed with warm soapy water.
One of them was missing the ear hole grommets, which were easily replaced, but harder to get hold of was the rubber trim for around the outside of the shell. I eventually found some about the correct size that was being sold as trim for radio control boat decks.
I've now ordered 3 new visors from Gecko, which have cost nearly double the total I had already spent on the three helmets and the trim.
I wanted to customise the helmets with some decals, but again wanted to do it my way. Read - For next to nothing.
I decided to get hold of some sign makers self adhesive vinyl and hand cut some text in a suitably relaxed font. I'm also planning to add the name to the sides of the RIB console, so would need quite a bit. I phoned a sign maker near work and was told he'd be there until about 5.30pm if I dropped in after work.
At 5.10pm I was there and he'd gone home, obviously didn't want my £20 cash. It was a bonus however, as I found nearly 2M of Black, and a small amount of White 7 year vinyl in his skip.
I printed the text out in Hawaiian Punk font and taped them down to the vinyl. I now can't feel the end of my index finger after having spent two evenings with a scalpel cutting them out.
Hope you like them.
Nasher.

Look better than new.
Remember you will have to wear yours at ALL times now - it won't be long before you get headbutted by the littlest one!!!

Benc
Hi, the much smaller text across the back of mine says
THE NASHERS REVENGE in the same font as the larger decals.
However I'm not that pleased with it as it was so difficult to cut out by hand and doesn't meet my standards, so will probably come off.
Glad you like them.
Next is an 22 x 11 inch decal for either side of the console in the same font.
THE
NASHERS
REVENGE!
With the 'THE' turned vertical to fit in the letter space before the 'N'
Pictures will follow.
Nasher.
