baystar steering

My rib has baystar steering and Suzuki 90hp engine, from left to right lock
the steering wheel takes 5 full 360 degree turns , seems to many to me what do you think ?
Also should the steering be light or stiff, mine needs more than a spin of your finger to turn.

Baystar is not as easy to turn as Seastar, especially when under load.

I had ultraflex cable string on my last zodiac 550 and had to replace the cable three time in a year so fitted hydraulic and never looked back.

Where the cable comes from the motor, the sharp turn into the ducting was where mine were wearing from inside the cable. This wouldn't be to much of an issue for some people who don't do many hours but where I do around 1000 per year on my recreational boat the cable soon wears out.
