I believe its just a 'toy' for him - no serious expedition in mind
... saw it in Ribquest before final delivery - Scott seats , self righting bag, radar, etc etc etc. Very nice build
Looked huge on the trailer - lucky boy !

He was in abersoch this week end, mate got a picture with him. It's his boat for his island "st tudwalls" hence the badging below the name on the console.

He's owned one of the Tuds for at least 6 years and used to have a serious looking Ocean Dynamics (I think) as his taxi out to and from the island. When we first came down to Pwllheli with our boat 6 years ago, they used to use the trailer for his RIB to pull my Ribcraft out - so he's had it that long at least.
Seemed like a nice bloke on both occasions I spoke to him - not like some of the press would have you believe...!!

Bought in 2001 for £95k, previously uninhabited for years. No beach. No facilities with automated lighthouse and two derelict cottages he's knocked in to one.
Author of the liver birds owns the other island.

ugly tender to a superyacht
If i had a superyacht, the tender would be much sleeker.

Damn wish I could afford to make cock ups like that

The old Ocean Dynamics RIB wasn't the trans-Atlantic one. As far as I know it was only used to go to and from the island - but having seen both of them - defo not the same boat. It was a nice boat - but it definatley wouldn't look right as a tender to a superyacht!!

The Zodiac is on loan for the expedition, and his own boat is a Ribquest, running twin 300hp Suzuki's. Nice bit of kit. Alright for some Suzuki have given the engines to him for free!!!!

so he's had an ocean dynamics that was butt ugly.
An ocean dynamics that was his old n wales island taxi
A cougar that was built for an expedition, not used, then sold
A zodiac being built for the purpose that the cougar was made for
A ribquest that is now in n wales as an island taxi
I'll take any one of them if he doesn't need them.

Think I'd rather pay for them than have to go on telly drinking my own p*ss, sleep inside a dead animal, jump into frozen lakes etc...
He gets slagged off a bit by people but fair play to him I say, he's earned his fame and fortune a lot more than some of these so called "celebs"
