Beaumaris Pier
Hello,
I was doing an engine test a few weeks ago and after launching from Caernarfon I decided to nip to Beaumaris.
I had not seen the huge floating platform that has been attached to the pier before, but gratefully tied up to the large structure in search of a meal.
Ah! Locked gates and no way off! No other safe landing points aside feom beaching it and was told I would be charged for an unlock.....
Thanks. Money now spent elsewhere. Maybe that's what they wanted?

if you we're really desperate you could moor to the pier, can't think why anyone would want to, the steps and gates are well barbed wired up, don't think they want visitors but as others have said, the Gazelle directly opposite the pier is much moor welcoming, just take your time deciding which side to moor to

I think you misunderstood kerny's post. Opposite Banger pier on the Island side of the straights.

there's a jetty which you can moor to, just keep an eye on the tide and you'll be fine. Good food and beer in the Gazelle

LOL, always welcome to Chris if no other bouys and you tie up sensibly!
There are also 2 runners on the North side of the jetty if you want to beach, tie up and pull your boat out to stop drying out. There's a clear rock free run up to the wall of the pub. Watch the rocks further north of the width of the pub v close inshore by the shed and trees.
