Bembridge IoW

Can anyone give me info about beaches at Bembridge and suitability for anchoring or putting boat on beach?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Malcolm

Just inside the harbour on the left hand side by the Bembridge Sailing Club is a beach where you can anchor. The area dries out a low tide (as does most of Bembridge). You can leave the boat overnight but it does mean that people can walk out to your boat at low tide when you are not there. This spot tends to get very crowded during the summer week-ends. An alternative is to go into the marina, make sure you book ahead. They can normally find a spot to squeeze in a RIB.

Hi I contacted the Bembridge harbour master to book a mooring for the end of August for a week & was told just turn up & he will put on a mooring no kneed to book!
If you are after a kiddy friendly beech then Priory Bay just around the corner is a favorite of my family but it is a long walk when the tide goes out!
Some photos of the weekend B4 last.
Regards
Nick

Try Whitecliffe Bay, just around the corner from Bembridge under Culver Cliff. Large sandy bay, easy to anchor or beach, cafe on beach but no loos!!! Be careful of Bembridge ledge on the way round.

Bembridge Harbour Access

Good Morning,

You can still get into B/H on low water if you are very carefull and stick rigedly to the channell; stay in the middle. Follow into harbour mouth turn turn to starbord and continue up to the Bembridge Haven Yatch Club. Visiting rights and moorings along side at all tidal states.

Very family friendly. Good food and Drinks.

Regards
