Loads of deck space due to wide beam on this for side by side jockeys, bench seats, etc. Hulls reputation second to none. Could clean up nice ?

Must have missed that one. Looks good but I have no idea how osprey compares to SR 5.4m.
Can you retrofit grab handles ?

An Osprey Viper 5.75 mentioned on here will get a big thumbs up. Way more deck space than an SR 5.4 if that's what's needed.

Glueing handles onto hypalon tubes or bolting handles onto console is a relatively straightforward job either for you or a 'professional' (still to do mine tho !).

I have a 5.25 which I'm slowly tarting up as was bought in same condition as suggested one. I've added 4 jockeys behind the single jockey console.

I have had a rear bench in my SR 5.4 now for a few Years. Its made to enclose a 70 l tank that for my usage is optimal. It looks much smaller in reality, and not so much in front of the transom as in the picture, plenty of space between the bench and the 3 pers jockey seat.
2 of my kids use to sit there(on top of kapok cushions)

Pretty sure the transom is now stiffer than originally. Made plenty of water channels so the elephant trunks works as designed even in case of massive stuff.

The space between the bench and the tube is useful for ropes and other stuff. Some they will build a transom well.....

That looks good, is it made of marine ply ? How is it fixed to the transom? I'm liking that.

Thanks. It's made of Okume marine ply, covered with fiberglass/polyester resin. It was laminated basically totally ready before fitting(partly also painted. It's then glued down with thick epoxy glue and then after "rounding" the corners with putty, laminated to the hull with Fiberglas fabric(several layers). Then everything was painted with epoxy primer + 2K PU topcoat.

No crack's anywhere so far. The "hatch" has no hinges, just strap it down, works fine for me, think its good to be able to remove the hatch totally without tools. Did not bother to make a very smooth surface as the rest of the interior is rather rough(ex navy boat). Also made a small deck well for the bilge pump(that have so far not fitted...)
