Bespoke plastic fuel tank

I have a problem to solve.
I have a 7.5m Ribtec (2000) with a 200L inboard stainless tank - that leaks!!
I have kust taken the deck off the boat and managed to get the tank out. The leak is on a corroded seam at the bottom of the tank.
"Get it re-welded" I thought but looking at the tank it looks like it has been patched before so i'm assuming even if i get the work done another seam may go and i don't want thos hassle again.
Does anyone know where or if i can get a bespoke petrol tank from. All the supplies i can see just do tanks for diesel.
Or am i being stupid and are you not supposed to have plastic tanks for petrol?
I's really appreciate a hand on this.

But they only do bespoke plastic tanks for diesel - they say they are not suitable for petrol

yes - quizzed them twice, once on the phone then at Soton boatshow last year.
I'm now having a bespoke SS tank made - but would have preferred plastic.
