Big thumbs up to Raven Spring
I though this was worth a mention. I think customer service should always be a factor when parting with and "large" some of money...
Last summer, I bought myself a drysuit from Ravenspring, and have been very pleased with it.
Recently, I managed to rip the neck seal, so contacted Ravenspring, and they said to send it back, and it would cost about £20 to repair (I think it was 12.50 for the seal, and 9 quid for fitting, and something on top for courier fees). I also mentioned on the phone, that it sometimes feels I get wet through the suit.... but she explained this is quite normal with drysuits when first getting into the water, as and warm air around your legs will cause condensation. So I sent the suit off and waited for the response.
The next day, I got an email, saying that they had checked the seams and, it appears that the glue has reacted in a bad way, and wouldnt keep a very good water tight seal... they sent it off to the material manufacturer for closer inspection... but they couldnt explain it.
Anyway, Ravenspring supplied me a brand new suit, they also used my old seals as a guage and trimmed the new seals perfectly for me, and during the process, a woman also called me to see if there was an alterations I would like to the suit as they could do those for free also!
I was very impressed with the service, wore it out for the first time yesterday, and it was perfect!
Thank you Ravenspring.
That's two marine companies (the other being Garmin) I have dealt with in the last year or two who have given outstanding customer service.
