Big wind - again!

Am I alone in getting bored with this constant extreme heavy weather we are having? Although the rib is big enough to handle heavy conditions there really is no pleasure in banging about all the time!!

The only day that looks like reasonable is Boxing Day - and then it goes back to gale conditions again with no weather window until after the 30th!

It's like Tierra del Fuego here - and Lym is supposed to be in the Tropical South!

I have got mates from London booking trips with me to get to Cowes IOW to see family etc - they are really worried all ferries will be cancelled.

No.
Might float the boat off the trailer later, while it is still parked up in the garden

Actually makes me glad mine's warmly tucked up under cover for once. No fun being out in these sort of conditions with the driving rain as sell as the wind.

Surely, this is what Winter is all about.

I will take this weather for the next 4 months, if it means another nice Summer!

Stay safe, and I would suggest that means off the water

Steve

65 knots inside Poole harbour...I think that pushes it to hurricane force gusts on the scale....hate to think what that's like on the exposed side of the iow or mainland coast

Arrived in Esbjerg this afternoon and our armada will be sailing tomorrow night.

Looking at the way the seaweed's curling though I reckon we'll be back alongside on Boxing day.

This happened today on the ridge line in lulworth ranges! Blown over by the wind! The ranges have now been shut due to the wind

Thats the problem with taking the scenic route... and a good reason not to have a boat with a cabin.
