Bimini Tops

I am looking to rig up a strong Bimini top to give some protection from the rain (and sun ) I want something that I can use at speed.

Clearly the A frame would be the anchor point for the rear of the top then some kind of stainless tubular framework to support it and a vertical pole at the front to act as an anchor point

I guess Canvas would be the best material to use with eylets to fix onto hooks on the frame.

Any ideas or does anyone know where I can buy something that could be modified to do the job? I saw the attached image on the American section and I like the look of it.
