Bit breezy isn't it?

Dunno what its like where you are but its been blowing a hoolie here in Essex all day. Moderating a bit now I think. Went to check on the boat to find that cover has ripped apart into two pieces - central seam come apart. It might be repairable as its not ripped anywhere apart from the seam. Bit of a bugger tho'

Moral of the story is if you rib isn't in your garden then go check it to make sure its still OK!

F10 gusting 11 at times on the Solent - IOW ferries on & off - P&O ferry thumping warship in Pompy.

Had it not been for an excellent birthday bash on the Island last night, I don't think I would have gone

It certainly was a very lively days - not a single RIB (or anythingelse for that matter out)

I must get down & check my RIB asap

These winds originate in the Black Country. True to tradition, we are sharing them with the rest of the country.

I was sorry to hear about your boat cover, Alan, so I've had the spetznaz contract on you lifted.

I nearly ended up in portsmouth harbour earlier on today going down the M275. Driving the work box van which also doubles as a sail! The old girl went up on two wheels just as I was crossing the water, not enjoyable at all! Nearly had a heart attack!!

A bit breezy here too. Picture is of Peel Lifeboat setting out this morning to assist the 100 metre long dumb pipe-laying barge 'Tog Mor'. Two of her anchor chains had parted and there was some danger of her drifting ashore. Not sure how we would have got all the 89 crew off ........
Wind NW, steady 35 knots gusting 55.
