Bit saggy in her old age

Currently using a 5.3 Tornado and her tubes are very tired, but I quite like the hull on this little thing, so was thinking about a retube, who's the current favourite for the job, Henshaws ? And what sort of ££'age is it, and how much would it add to the boat value roughly do you think , for what the retube would cost ?

Bigmuz,

I'm sure Henshaws or Paul Tilley would be happy to quote for that. But if I was retubing a tornado I'd also give consideration to Barnet Marine (who used to supply tornados) http://www.ribs.co.uk/page/retubing they would do it in PU (as per the orginal) rather than hypalon - but their prices are on the web.

Tube on its own would be something like £1800-2000, creeping up to around £2500 fitted I think. That's assuming prices haven't gone up that much in the last 5 years or so, which let's face it is unlikely!

There was a new Ribcraft in the IOM with matt black "canvas" finish tubes. The owner, of the Scottish persuasion, said that Ribcraft had advised against but he had insisted. He said he regrets it. It looked waaay cool.

Hard to keep clean it seems.

Especially with 5 RIBnetters rafted outside you

Dirt resistance is pretty good on this fabric, it gives the boat a very utilitarian look i think.
I like it a lot and will probably tube my next boat in this.
