Blue-Green Algae alert Loch Lomond

I've just published this on the local council's (my employers) website. Good to bear in mind if your planning a trip to Loch Lomond soon.

Cheers

The article refers to keeping away from the water and the scum close to it, I assume they are not refering to the local youth population of Balloch.

Just had an update from one of our EHO's. Algae was found on Friday, he has visited today and ran futher test and found no evidence of Blue Green Algae, so it appears the sub zero temperatures have been good for something. So anyone mad enough to want to go for a swim in Loch Lomond in February can do so safe in the knowledge that the water is clear.
