Boat and Jetski World (Osprey Inflatables)
Boat and Jet Ski World went into liquidation on Monday 5 September 2005.
I've removed a previous thread as it appears that comments made may not help various people who have claims to make. This is not something that I would normally do, but I wouldn't want anyone to lose out because of comments made in the heat of the moment. Aplogies to anyone whose posts have been caught in the crossfire.
It's not a forbidden subject, and you're free to continue the discussion here. Please keep it calm and civil though.
Thanks for your understanding!
John

JK;
Just to make sure that everybody knows and to correct what you wrote.
Boat and Jetski World is distributor for Osprey Ribs in UK and are named Osprey inflatables.
IT IS NOT Osprey Ribs that went to liquidation, Osprey Ribs is owned by Brugge Marine Center in Belgium.

So who makes "builds" ospey RIBs... someone mentioned laminators in the UK, is it a design that the rights are sold to a different company in many countries so build quality can vary? I'm just interested.

Nope;
The laminator is the same as it always been even before Brugge Marine Center bought Osprey around 7 years ago or something like that, he is only laminating Ospreys.

OK still advise this bit as far as the credit card company is concerned
equal liability for any breach of contract or misrepresentation may have occurred under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Which is always a good reason to stick some of it on the plastic!
and roofer needs to contact the insolvency practitioners to advise that the ski is his property and not that of the business concerned.

yes all osprey ribs are laminated in the uk,
they are then sent to where ever for distrubution,uk belguim etc,
one company is solely responsible for lay up of hulls, and one hell of a nice guy.

My mistake. I've changed the thread title now to avoid any further confusion.

righto just to update,
any ski;s boats etc that are in brokerage will 100% be returned via smith & co. as said before,
i have spoken to garry today and i also will be seeing my goods that i have paid for,
it would appear it was a forced closure where upon he couldnt do much about it. it happens but people like me obviuosly get the hump over the thought of losing so much hard earned cash, and having to do all the leg work your self really pisses you of...........

Boat and jetski world willenhall (Grovebury Ltd)
Like youself and others i have had my jetski taken by Gary and Tina, but will not let this matter stop here. I believe that the pair of them have acted fraudulently and if proved will remove their limited liability with companies house. As for Boat and jetski world, this company ceased trading in the year 2000 and the current company (Grovebury Ltd) was only formed during the later part of last year.
Similary osprey inflatables was disolved in the year 2000. see the picture forming. This guy is a compulsive rip of merchant. If you would like to join forces and go for him collectively i and several others that i have tracked down would love to here from you. I have further information if you require but i'm shaw this has wet your appitite. Bill

This is very common for comapnies to merge and cease trading. You are entitled to your own opinion but why do you think they acted fraudulently???

Boat and jetski world
Like all transactions that have written, verbal contracts attached to them if any of the parties breeches these they are in breech of contract. If the person retains monies as part of that sale and does not pass on monies to the owner of the item being sold then that is fraud. My Ski was sold back in June so if the company was not able to pass monies on to my self after the said sale then they were insolvent. Any company that owes more than £750 and cannot cover this debt is trading Fraudulently.
