Boat camping setup

So I decided to put a tent on my boat.
It folds up when not in transit.

We have some pretty protected areas up north but sometimes camping on land isn't an option. The 4 of us spent 4 nights camped on the water and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Up until this time, I always regretted having a boat with tubes that sat in the water. For this purpose though, it does provide additional stability.

Handling wasn't significantly different but getting up on a plane took a little longer with all of our gear and water at the back of the boat.

Great fun....I guess you have to watch out for hungry woolly things... although I guess they could wade in at that distance from shore. Must have ago one day and sleep out on my boat....

Do you mean bears? I know they can swim but I wonder if they'd every take an aggressive stance while swimming. Seems like a challenge with just your nose in the air.

We saw some warnings about wolves but no bears. Saw lots of humpbacks and dolphins too.

Yeah - I know it's an old thread, but it's something I've thought about.

I have one of these (see link below) which I plan to use on the riverbank/beach. I have thought about using it in my intended SIB but I think it would be too much of a squeeze and I would have to support the legs on the airdeck.

It's a joy to use though, roomy, off the ground and very comfortable.
