Boat hibernation

As in most winters, ( apart from the very occasional run out in calm weather) , my boat is safely tucked up in the dry, with outboard wrapped up.
Just been for a trip to Norway, where some hardy vikings are out in their ribs, and alloy boats, going about their daily lives, in the fjords and harbours. Admittedly, I didn’t see much activity in the North sea( where we hit very rough seas), but it still made me feel a wimp!
I hope some of you are still out out and about, enjoying the quiet waters.

RIBase
Another wimp here....rib was winterised mid November and will be recommissioned first week in April.....Mercruiser 350 Mag so very careful about the whole winter business and despite what a lot of people might say, hardly anyone leaves this marina in the winter except the odd fishing boat...

I was out this weekend for a nip round the needles. It was very cold! The solent was the quietest I'd seen in a long time. I really enjoy winter boating but a dry suit is a mustClick image for larger version

I’m impressed. Dry suit does seem a good investment for cold weather. It’s on my wish list, but my credit cards are in rehab after some recent big spending!
It is motivating me to get out before to long though
