To be fair it started to go loony when someone tried to suggest PU was superior due to a bit of sandpaper hardly scratching it.
It isn't superior to hypalon when it comes to resale, repairing it or what the big boys use, pick your poison and be happy.
If you look after your stuff it likely won't matter what you have, if you have an accident you will wish you had hypalon.

What is this? The schoolyard?
Perhaps someone should give these boys a call and point them in the right direction so that they might be able to hang out with the big boys.

What don't you like?
I didn't realise we were a Cambridge English educational website? Geez I missed a meeting if so!!
Okay, what most high end manufacturers favour, that better?
I don't dislike PU, although i wouldnt buy one personally, i dont recoil in disgust when i see one as it seems a decent enough option to me. I'm afraid it is just a fact the "school yard guys" seem to prefer hypalon.
Just the same as the fact PU is more scratch resistant, can't argue it.
Hypalon is easier to repair, can't argue it.
If that upsets you then rib.net may not be a wise long term health solution, it is only an opinion...relax.

Talking of console,s ,spoke to RC in the week and looks like the console with the suicide seat adds another £400 ,combined with the fact the engine i have is long shaft not xl i am slowly creeping back to the drawing board, think tbh i am begining to believe those around me who say "whats wrong with what you have got "

They can put a long shaft transom on a 585, but I wouldn’t. My 585 was LS & could be a tad damp at the rear when heavily laden with divers. Personally I wouldn’t compromise the boat for the sake of fitting an existing engine.
