Boat Storage / Launching on Menai Strait

Hi All,

We are having a week on Anglessy in July & we are bringing the RIB.

We have an AirBnB booked in Menai Bridge, but nowhere to store the boat.

Any recommendations / comments for somewhere that will store the RIB for a week, preferably with slipway & launch service if possible ?

What sort of cost should I be looking at, any ideas ?

Cheers,

Phil.

+1 for Chris Seddon at Ty Calch, best slip and launching on The Menai

or you could try The Marine Club at Porth Daniel in Menai, where RibRide is based, I think you will need to register with Anglesey County Council to use the slip......

How about keeping it on the water? Would seem sensible from my office desk!

Thanks for the replies.

I have used Ty Calch several times before for day launch, but didn't know he did storage.

Keeping it on the water for a week is an option. Anyone know what marinas are around that are useable at all tides ?

Thanks,

Chris can sometimes fit visiting boats in for storage, if not he can point you in the direction of local storage where you can pay per day

as for local mariners with 24 hour access to the water, closest is Pwllheli so not really practical if you want to be on The Menai or around the Anglesey coast

Chris at Ty Calch is the best option locally, he can launch/recover any state of the tide, reasonable rates and no worries about your trailer while you're out, why do you think so many of us who boat around here are based with Chris!!
