Boat Storage Southampton

Does anyone have any experience of dry berthing or pontoons in Southampton area?

I called in at the Town Quay Marina and although cheap it reminded of the League of Gentlemen.

Any thoughts?

Wait till you take a rib in there, even Cowes is more welcoming.

The two best yards are DB berthing or Saxon Wharf.

They are both withing 300 yards of each other and both are well run. DB is a crane yard and Saxon has a Crane and a free Slipway. we have a boat in each yard presently

Do you want it berthed over the winter.

I couldn't recomend Ocean Quay and the people at Town Quay are a bunch of snobs who don't like RIBS and have no Dry berthing

send me a PM if you need any more info. Itchen Marine are just starting up a facility but there prices aren't very keen

cheers
Stuart

Thanks for the feedback on Town Quay, i'll bin that option which was my gut feel from their attitude. I felt they couldn't have done more to try and put me off.
