Whilst this has come up thru a racing accident it is relevant to all of us I suspect.

Very interesting read but seems to be some duff data from the MAIB!

I know of 3 makes of helmet designed for marine use.
The MIAB state that Gecko are the only ones in the UK.

All the sae very interesting
