Very interesting read but seems to be some duff data from the MAIB!

I know of 3 makes of helmet designed for marine use.
The MIAB state that Gecko are the only ones in the UK.

I think the pertinent bit is this:

The RYA said it was conducting an internal investigation, the results of which would be passed to the MAIB, and added: "We understand there is no evidence to suggest the helmet caused or contributed to the injuries sustained and we hope this will be clarified in due course."
