Borrow us yer 19" er please!

Anybody dahn Sahf runnin' a 19" er on a 225 opti? Wos it like? I'm running a 21 and I'd like to try a 19. Anyone got a spare I can try? (If I like it - I'll buy it!) For trial purposes, doesn't matter if it's ally, but if it's a Laser II S/S that's even better!

Thanks in advance...

Hmmm, interesting. I'm only pulling 5100 with the 21 (@ 40 kts though) It's a big boat so i thought the 19 might be an improvement. What size RIB was that with???? Thanks for the info....

I have a slightly used 19’’ s/s laser II prop that I will happily lend to anybody thinking of buying one to see if it matches there rig. A 19’’ on a 225 Opti is good on a large heavy boat e.g. a 7.5 but may be slightly small on a lighter boat. PM me if anybody is interested in borrowing it.

The 225 Opti runs well at about 5500-5600 the Redbay is a very deep V and is a well built boat so a 19’’ could fit well. Prop revs in poole also are very good at putting a cup on the blades of the 19’’ this will probably give you better results than the standard 20’’. The mirages are ok but I prefer the Laser for top end performance on the 225 and deep v boats.

I'm interested in this - but boat is hibernating until next season in a cardboard box filled with straw.

Will a 19 add top end speed?

I wish I could go into hibernation over the winter.

Probably not, not anything to talk of anyway but it will give you better acceleration without noticeably losing anything top end.
