Each to his own. We enjoy the planning & plotting over the winter months. We've ribbed in just about every condition that Northern Europe can throw at us. 38C, t shirts, shorts & factor 20 is a bit of a refreshing change from drysuits & Geckos. TBH I could get to like it[emoji106]
One day my life will flash before my eyes, I'd like to think it will be worth watching.

Start with factor 50+ or use rashguard 50+

If you catch sunburn the happiness to be in warm climate by demolish.

This is the reason why I since few years use always rashguards (love very comfortable SeaDoo):

Bouncer & Black Pig go to Croatia

Just got in from a 20nm night passage from Zadar to Dugi Otok. We picked Mick's daughter up from the airport & delivered her in style to the campsite. Flat sea, 3/4 moon & shooting stars, perfect. Just sat outside the tent having a celebratory beverage. It's still 25C.
We fuelled up in Zadar, quayside unleaded £1.15/l[emoji106]

South part of the "Dugi Otok" is the best place as start for many trips.

It is very close to "Kornati National Park" and you have marine petrol station in Zaglew:

Kornati:

On the south part of "Dugi Otok" island you have nice and warm lake and from open Sea side fantastic clifs

Loving the bus thanks Jeff, yup it's 4motion, DSG, 204ps LWB. Tows nearly as well as the Disco, just missing a low box. Although it does have diff lock[emoji12]

On the North site of "Dugi Otok" you have UBoot caves where Wermacht hidden submarines (photo camera icons on my plan)

There is very nice trip to this bridge

https://goo.gl/maps/5ciGX1PiYtn
If you have big tank you can try to go to waterfals:
https://goo.gl/maps/WgrL1ZHSz6Q2

You can refuel in Zadar or Pakostan ( I do have GPS coordinates of the marine petrol stations if you need)

Be careful: You can't be in plane when distance to coast is less than 400 m
The water police use Radar to check such violation.

To visit Kornati Nationa Park by boat you have to buy special ticket.
It is much cheaper to by it in marina (not sure where in Dugi Otok maybe in Zaglev).
It costs 2 times more when you buy it driving boat to the Park.

What a great trip.
Looking forward to lots of pics.

Spoke to a man earlier today who had towed dinghies from Bergamo to Dublin recently- he took the tunnel- no fines

Had a trip out today down the north side of Dugi Otok. Called in to the submarine pens, these are relics from the Cold War when Yugoslavia came under the umbrella of the USSR. Spooky places, but you can take the boats all the way in & turn around, it feels like a James Bond set.Click image for larger version

Looks great guys. We went to Vis island last year and found something the same there. Looks like you're having a real adventure. We're going next year but going to hire a Rib this time. Looks like you're having a great adventure and look forward to more!
