Bow stainless steel frame

Excuse my ignorance but what is the bow stainless aimed at? or what advantage is there to this addition

Hi,

hope somebody knows ! I've seen them and wondered too! mind you I dont think they look very pretty either !Would need to be a REALLY good reason use before I'd consider fitting one !

I've never liked the look of them either, but have always thought it was just the owner trying to make the boat look more like a conventional boat with a bow rail.

I think it would get in the way so much.

Keep the tube from tearing off in a heavy stuff?

I could see how it would give you something to tie cargo to, but there would be better options, I'd think.

For getting back at people who think your boat is an oversize tender?

I way of attaching to pontoons with out damaging tubes?

can't see any point in that really, if it was on the outside, maybe!, i've got what could be called a bumper on mine and that save the bow/tube attachment from getting damaged
