This is one of our chase RIBS, originaly marketed through Olmec before they decided they wanted more than just to tube em, it was boat 5 of now 9 built, v-type hull, olmec tubes, fast boat.

Jono,

I was using Olmec but had some quaility issues, no warranties ect, spent alot of time trying to put jobs right, the last boat we built was an inboard V1 model which Paul Tilley tubed, i have to say that is is the best ive seen out of the 18 boats we have supplied.

Just to clarifiy the postion with Breeze, we were supplying hulls via Olmec to a Guy in Lymington, Mr Churchill, who was also buying shakespear hulls from Olmec, he was fitting the boats and trying to market them as his own brand "Breeze" we supplied only a couple then stopped, shakespear was then the only choice.

The basis behind the argeement was that they would be branded "v-type Breeze" some origanal advertising was done Mr Churchill, it was not the intenion on my part to change the brand name to just breeze thats why we stopped supply and decided to continue ourselves just as v-type, you can see just how inviting it can be for someone to just start marketing Ribs or anyother product when someone else has had all the investment and hard work.

In short the answer to your question is that NO you cannot just change a brand name to suit your individual needs or business plan, but there some that try!

When you have something that others want business becomes a different ball game, when we launched this boat in 2001 i had sold 29 boats in advance orders through a marketing company a contract value of well over 1m, however the signed contract turned out to be as worthless as the company that ordered, however ive learnt.

Breeze Ribs is owned by Jonothon Churchill of Lymingtion, ive not spoken to him for a considerable period of time, Olmec would know
