BRIG 645 Eagle, centre control access

I am refurbishing an BRIG 645 from 2011. Doing this I need to get access to all the electrical components hidden inside the console. There’s almost no room when trying to access thrue the hatch in front.
Is it ok to detach the console from the base and tip it away to get a better access? I imagine that this would make things much easier. Am I on the right track here? Tips? Do’s and don’t?
Greetings from Norway’!
