Cheers Jean - maybe I'm having a panic as I just got another £1k boat bill ! ( Insurance for both boats , service , winter storage, anodes, compressor belt ).

I love this time of year for spending money with no clear result - Bah Humbug .........

I genuinely do not believe that MSS will have that much room on these, mind you I was wrong about 195 being the best price so it just goes to show that optimism can pay off.

If it were me I would get in before the VAT goes back up, or all the bargain hunting will be undone.

RRP on these is 255 pounds, so I just cant see you getting them down to 180 unless someone happens to be behind the right lorry and the door falls off.

To put it in context, a PLB is the cherry on the cake of personal safety wear...

Auto lifejacket with crotch straps... 60
Lifejacket light and spray hood... 30
Waterproof VHF... 90
Sea Survival course... 80

Falling overboard and being able to make tea with your inflatable kitchenette... priceless.

I will all seem worth it when you stop mid channel on the next Floptilla to swim with dolphins and cool down in the record breaking globally warmer summer.

Cheers Malthouse. Happy to be out of touch ....( but in touch mid channel when the dolphins have buggered off and the motor wont start !)

Didn't mean any slight against anyone.

c2 - if you came to me with that request (for product we sell) we would be happy to discuss a discount over 5% - but I would expect to be able to send all 15 to one address in one shipping container. Someone has to label, pack and ship all of these to 15 different addresses then you're looking at £10 (5%) in cost for that.

Should Mainbrace be a trade member to comply with the forum's commercial posting guidelines? Technically yes, but the idea is to stop random people registering to pimp their wares and to ensure that those who appear out the woodwork whenever there seems like something in it for them are making a contribution to the site. I doubt the 15 people benefiting will object if they get a better deal than on the open market. If he has to register and split that cost across that order then the saving would be wiped out. If he makes a habit out of coming up with deals I am sure he will see the benefit of registering anyway (and if not JK will highlight the value proposition!).

What surprises me is that with the chance to save a fiver off the best web price so many people are interested, especially at a time of year when most people are 'skint'... or did they mean they were interested if there was a really good* deal on offer?

(* i.e. possibly a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity price)

Ahh and there lies the mystery - lol - I doubt we will know for sure until money has to be eeked out off tired wallets - I suspect waiting until Jan payday may help some make the decision but that needs balancing with the best price available - what a conundrum

lol - very sensible - I find my little 75hp pony uncomfortable at trot let alone canter and there's you lot racing around with a whole herd attached to the rear end!!

You just haven't had the right conditions to unleash the full potential of your little herd. That's all!
