Bungs in for summer!

This might be a stupid question... but here goes. If I go out for the day I drain a litre or so of water when I take the bung out afterwards. So what happens when the boat is kept on a mooring? Presumably the water in the hull just keeps accumulating. I thought of cutting a hole through the deck to form a pumping well though I have never seen this done by anyone else. What does everybody else do?

My Hull (the under deck void at the bottom of the V) drains into the outboard well if I remove a drain plug.
Then I can pump out with the bilge pump.

But on the SR5.4, I would have been stumped and have to have drilled a plate through with a pump in the well.
