Buying advice

Hi

Been ribbing for about 5 years. Never owned more than a 3.8m Zodiac.

Found this and it ticks all the boxes of the ultimate upgrade.

Just unsure of value for money. Can someone take a look and give an opinion please.

"015 ,,,Brig ,,,,4.8m ,,,,Evinrude ...........20k not sure thats going to be your best investment ,wouldnt be my choice however people have different opinions ,maybe ribcraft 4.8 totally rebuilt at £15k on boats and outboards may be another option

Thanks for the reply.

The reason I really like this one is the seating.
I don’t want jockey seats.
This is the only thing I’ve found where the kids can sit next to the wife and I safely.

I’ve made an offer of £17.5k I think if I get it at that it’s not a bad option?

Hi Daddy Matt, no experience of ribs what so ever but I think it's very expensive. Appreciate it suits your needs as to seat configuration, but your paying a premium for it. I'm not saying this is the rib for you, but this gives you something to compare with:-

or this:-

I agree with these guys, that's very strong money for an off-season purchase

RIBase
Agree with what's said. Seems like a lot of space up front which is fine if this boat is destined for the Med and you're using it as a swim platform and sunbathing, and helm position is set too far back for my liking.

Check out Ribeye A500s. Side by side jockeys up front and dedicated rear bench seat.

Few on boats and outboards - and seem to hold price very well, and will command a premium when the season starts.

Obviously these are older boats, so you want receipts and lots of them. Tend to be powered by 4-stroke 80hp.

Theres definitely better out there for that money, wouldnt put good money into a boat with an etec nowadays, out of production for a good few years now, a pita when they go wrong & parts & support will only become harder to find as time goes on. You will find a better option than this

Have to echo all of the above I'm afraid, but if you like it and you want it it's your money.
