Big rib 4 crazyhorse

Hi crazyhorse,

I've been trawling around the site, looking at old postings and peoples profiles. I found a posting from yourself ref: a large cruiser/rib.

I thought you might be interested in this photo I've enclosed. It was at the Genoa show a couple of months ago. I visited it with some other ribsters, some of them are active on this forum.

It is possibly similar to the rib you were talking about. Have you actually built one yet, or is it in the design stage. When you do launch it onto the market, you ought to consider exhibiting it at Genoa, its a massive show, probably one quarter of it is dedicated to ribs.

Looks like Graham Jelley has some competition

Is that the NEW Gin Palace??

Can't believe it guys!!!
This boat looks rather nice but certainly does not look like a RIB to me. More like a Gin Palace on pontoons??

As cabin Ribs go look the attached immage from NORTHWIND MARINE in Seattle.
This is how cabin RIBs should look like.

Hi Manos,

Looks good to me,you see there is a certain size that a Ribs can go so as to get all the advantages of weight and sea keeping abilities that all Ribs have, after that its all scale of deminishing returns,The Gin Palace really isnt going to have as many benefits as The smaller boat,eg fuel economy and great sea Keeping abilities.

I like the smaller boat, but I find the front Cabin a little ugly but they build Good boats over there, thats for sure.

Hi Crazyhorse

I agree with what you say about the cabin. But this one was built for the Coastguard and I suppose they wanted it a bit like a box rather than nicely curved LOLOL
But I have to admit I have been to Genoa boat show many times I also go to the Nice boat show just before the Monaco Grand Prix (stay in Nice at the Atlantis Hotel and having dinner at the fish restaurant at the promenade Hey is this capitalism or not LOLOL ) but I have to say (and this is my personal opinion and the opinion of a few other Greeks who purchaed some Italian made boats) they are good looking tied up in a marina but b...dy awful at sea. Italians have style but they do not know how to built boats I'm affraid. Not disrespect to any Italians in the forum.

Dirk,

Fabio dont pay my wages or Manos,s.I think he is just going to have to get used to the idea that he aint the only boat builder in the world that can produce a great boat.

Its Tuff out there.

Crazy horse

When it gets "tuf" out there, you need to be in a Buzzi.

Fabio's Boats

I know all about Senior Fabio

The translation

...and his boats. However, I don't think making a boat that has jokey seats costing $ 6,000 each and that can only be used by the caostguard or the forces or the very wealthy is a good thing.
I think his boats are good but not for the average Mr Manos.

I still think that most Italians do not know how to built boats (and if you ask some of my mates in Greece you'll see that they all try to get rid of them). And worst if you go on one you will not want to go on it again.

Dirk

I think that you will find that a Falcon perfroms (I think) better (but I'm biased cause I have one) than one of Fabio Buzzi's boats.
Seriously now. Does he manufacture 7 mtr Ribs or just 40 ft and over??
