Callisto??

Hi,

someone is advertising Callisto RIBs in Canada, with ORCA hypalon. one of the pictures they use seems to be polish (police boat)? .... anyone know anything about these boats, website, reviews etc.?

They are manufactured in Turkey. I don't know the name of the manufacturer or if they have a web site. The hypalon tubes are made with Pennel fabric and Ceredi accessories. They look well made. Traditional Med style designs - large tube diameter, narrow beam, medium vee deadrise. Small boats labelled 'Dolfin' are also offered in PVC.

The boats are actually advertised in Toronto!
(I grew up in Muskoka)
and was thinking of maybe one as a "back up" or "overflow" boat. ... there are lots of "imports" from cheaper labour countries now, particularly south america and Turkey. I don't think i'd take a chance on them as a main boat in the hard, bad seas we get, but for the "fair seas" peak season, maybe.

The importer lives in Toronto. A nice fellow with boat manufacturing experience when he lived in Turkey. I am not sure where he has the boats stored, i.e. they might be in Muskoka at dealer he has been working with to market another line of wooden boat.
