I have very fond memories of an Easter weekend in the Solent when the coastguard were broadcasting regular calm warnings!
Got back to the marina and we're chatting to some yachties who'd spent all day polishing and cleaning because there wasn't much else for them to do.
Them: So did you go out today?
Us: Yes, nipped over to Yarmouth for lunch then down to the Needles for a bit and then came back via the forts
Them: Hmmmph. Not sailing then?
Us: Erm, no!

The gods must of heard you!!!!
Strong Easterly with lumpy swell here in Falmouth and forecast till early next week.
At least we have back-up coast to our North... Just not many launch points!

Yeah, I had a day off today. Trailer parts should arrive tomorrow and she'll come home again at last.

Better to have 4 days of sun and calm on a nice yacht with booze than rain and calm. Had a cracking few days. Pretty much motored Plymouth, Fowey, Salcombe and Newton Ferrers. Think we drank them all dry each night!
Humber and wakeboard would have been fun!

Went to Whitby last weekend, forecast was "Smooth to slight" got there & found 2m breaking waves & a northerly 5-6. Still got a bucket full of Mackies though. I had to gut them in the outer harbour, I couldn't face gutting them out at sea, definitely getting a tad green around the gills after a couple of hours

Nice shot. Even the old man ventured out in the cardinal today so it MUST have been calm! ;-)

Well, to add to the depression of being stuck at work, here is where I shall be keeping my boat for the winter
