Camber Slip

Looking potentially to run out from Portsmouth next Saturday, and after some info on Camber slip which I've never used, couple of questions:

Is it free to use or a charge?

Where do you park trailer? - I can see car parking close - but nowhere for the trailer

Accessible for 5.9m rib on trailer at all states of tide?

Have looked on boat launch, but would appreciate some uptodate info

thanks
LT

Hi,

The Camber slip is controlled by a barrier which costs £2.50 (put coins in and lift barrier).

Trailer parking is free - there is a small trailer park about 20m from the slip. Or you can leave your trailer at the top of the slipway (left hand side as you look down the slipway).

Plentiful pay and display parking available.

The slipway is pressure washed and treated every 4 weeks (2 weekly in the summer), so is good at most states of tide - but sensible to avoid low spring tidal launching.

Hope that helps.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Many thanks, may be obvious, but I think always worth checking out new launch site with local knowledge

I guess at end of Feb unlikely to be busy.

Cheers,

Bob
