I use the Plastic Padding Gelcoat filler. It does a good job and if you are repairing a white hull chip for example, it matches well.
I got min from Trident:
Plastic Padding Gelcoat Filler, Plastic Padding, Trident UK Fillers, Sealers & Adhesives

Yep good stuff and easy to use.
If you sand it back using 200 grit then used some 800 then 1500 wet and dry followed by some cutting polish (t-cut) you can bring a nice shine up...
